Default Oil in filter box

Ok I've read a few posts concerning oil getting into filter and in the box. I've owned my 2011 R for a few months and I constantly have to put oil in it. Pulled filter out today to clean it after a ride and bottom of airbox had a middle finger fingernail deep worth of oil in it. Filter was soaked. Now my black box fell off a few days ago so I just routed hose back into the hole and into box. Evidently it's pouring oil. What causes this and why?the it was oil blowby from piston it would smoke right? The motor is fresh and hardly has any hours on it, plus its coming from crankcase breather.
The hose from my crankcase blows air pretty hard while it's running. The other hose has suction. Is it ok to Tee them together?

if u do the t mod u will only blow oil all over the bike, with the ltr mod u will recover the blow by and cycle it back into the crank case. i have to wonder if u have that much oil, if something didnt go back together right

The LTR mod is definitely a better system than stock. The design just allows everything to work so much better.

With your quad being so new, I cant imagine you have that much blow-by unless you didnt break the rings in properly. So I would say your putting too much oil in your motor. With proper end ring gap, cylinder prep, and break-in you shouldnt have this problem. I have had my R quad since 2009 and have relpaced the piston 5 times and have only had oil in the air box when I put too much oil in the motor. The stock black box works perfect if all I mentioned above is fine. The LTR box conversion is an over the top setup to hide the real problem. Maybe I'm just lucky

true about there being a problem internaly.

some of us dont run the restrictive air box or oem intake, so why not better the quad by putting a better breather box on that allows you to cycle the engine oil instead of dump it.

Im telling you I dont have any oil in my air box and there in nothing left of my stock air box besides what holds the filter and breather box. I am trying to think of some sort of a baffle system for the valve cover to help eliminate all these problems and mods. The 06-08 yzf had the same head and valve cover, what or why didnt the dirtbikes have this problem? And ctown, are the Track shocks and fci worth it? I was the only ******* in B class last year at Lorettas with stock shocks.

fci is a killer product! as for the shocks im more than happy with them. the track system is killer for breaking bumps and rough choppy shi*. lot of the guys i ride with wont ride the track when is gets tore but i feel thats when u become a better rider.
i have some lt stage 4 elkas that r nice but they dont hold u down to the earth as well.

I didn't buy it Brand new so I'm not sure of how it was broke in honestly, i
Bought it from a old man who got
It for his grandson and it was too much for him. When i add oil I only add oil to the mark, I can't really understand why I would get this much oil..... I ride hard, really hard and I ride a lot of wheelies, 1/2 mile wheelies.... Maybe that's when it's dumping it?

I checked a little closer and I'm getting oil in my box from the hose coming from valve cover, and putting my thumb over it it's blowing air out pretty good.

Switch up to the LTR breather and your issue of getting oil in the filter will be solved. If you are having to much blow by due to the top end leaking, then you'll have to put new rings and or piston in with it. I did the exact same thing ctown did. I tried the "T" fitting and it just made a mess all over my swinger. As soon as I put the LTR box on, I have had it leak a drop.

I had problems with oil getting into the air box on both of my R's. One was an 09 and the other a 12. I put some heavier weight oil in (20W 50) and that with a little more break in time solved the problem. The stock breather box is just fine if you are putting in the right amount of oil, sometimes not as much as it says in the manual.

It's pretty easy to identify. Just smell it. Lol. U can def tell used motor oil smell from filter oil.

The problem is, it's not coming from crankcase. It's coming from the valve cover. I'm not understanding how blow by can come from the top of the valve cover.

Ima getting me a LTR box and stepping up to a tad thicker oil. I run 10/30 Lucas Motorcycle oil in mine at the moment
