Default Chad Wienen's YFZR

Pretty cool picture, its so big that you can zoom in on lots of parts of the bike.

http://wienenmotorsports.com/wp-cont...1/IMG_0211.jpg

Surprised that the bike he is sitting on is running stock spindles. I would have thought he would run the LTR setup since walsh makes arms for that. Also looks like he has a kashima rezzy on his podium. I bet there will be some cool new stuff released now that they have been working on his bike. He said hes got a walsh lowered subframe and a new linkage from walsh aswell.

Walsh emailed me said that they now offer a Walsh 6pt subframe for the R. I really want to get one of their stems, that one looks great. As far as more aftermarket parts being made available, I'm sure its just a matter of time now that Yamaha has some good riders on their team.

Looks like he has that kashima coating on the actual shock body on the rear too. Wonder how long it is till they start offering that to the public like the evols. More ways for fox to try and make money off people on an already expensive set of shocks lol.

I'm the one who called Fox and asked about the rear Fox Kashima upgrade. They said that they currently have them available for some models, just not all of them yet. The California service center told me that. When I talked to the midwest service center, that guy said that he doesn't have them for the rear Podium for the R yet, and maybe he would in the future, he didn't sound to sure. I'm willing to bet that the Kashima upgrade would almost benifit the rear more than than the fronts. All the Kashima is, is a coating to reduce friction. It helps the shock move more freely and keeps the tempetures down. I would think that the rear would benifit from this more than the fronts?

Dam they get all the cool stuff. I just ordered a new podium X not too long ago and they wouldn't let me get it as a remote for some reason. I wonder why it looks like it has the old style bottom piece thats not black.

I'm pretty sure you can get that shock body kashima coated or hard anodized by a company like Race Tech. They offer it for the non-coated rear R shock, why not others...

thats dumb...I bet you could just have a shock builder throw a hose on it and order the clamp, the resi is not permanently attached to the shock

you would have to get new nitrogen/oil probably but I bet it could be done for fairly cheap...it would prob take less time then having Fox do it

Wonder why they only offer the piggyback on the R. I don't really like how its such a tight fit and its basically touching my exhaust.
