What all is done to your motor? Stock cams work good. With the exhaust cam in the cam mod position.

The 06 to the 08 intake cams are about the best for the R. Do a search and lots of guys have been getting some good power out of them. I havent seen to much done with the exhaust cam on the R.

Don't change the position of the stock exhaust cam on the YFZR. There is no "cam mod" like the old bikes

The YFZ 06-08 cam is worth .9-1.5 hp depending a few variable, etc. Just changing the intake cam to the YFZ has yielded some pretty good results. It's simple and cheap. With a Dyno tune you might be able to squeak a little more hp out of it.

I do not recall if MMAD's Warpspeed cam (drop in) puts down better numbers than the YFZ or not.

You could also get another couple ponies out of an MSD over the PCV.

With the mods that you already have, i would wait on cams. I would have the head ported first and switch to a fuel customs intake.

No, I would send the head to one of the known drag porters... mmad, oi, kenz, re etc all of them do an excellent job and are behind most of the bikes you see in those fsa videos.

Talk to Eric from EHS Racing. Like others have said here previously, the stock cams work good. You will see way bigger gains from a head port!!!! Eric is extremely knowledgeable and will help you answer any questions you might have. My friend has 11:1 piston with stage 2 hot cam in his Honda 700xx, he put down 45hp SAE. I have the same piston with Eric's cam and head, I put down 55hp SAE and 15hp more in the over rev on the piston and cam!!!!

Your right, I didnt look to see what fourm he posted in. I thought he was talking about the older yfz.

Ya i would wait on anything else. Get a good fuel programmer and you will be set. As time goes on and money frees up get an fci and then if you want more power start playing with the motor from there.

I have Dasa and PCV, added a Fuel Customs Intake and picked up an extra 2 HP through most of the range, almost 2.5HP at the peak.
