the link doesnt work the name of the oil is
15.5
15W50 - synthesis
specs
Semi-synthetic lubricant recommended for all motorcycle types.
Avantages :
-Viscosity of 15W50 grade gives very good stability over time.

if you lost power it was probably the clutch slipping.

It shouldnt have hurt anything except maybe the clutches. Go get you some shell rottella 15w50 and change your oil. run it for a couple minutes and change it again. See if that helps.

If you are changing the oil and want to use another brand, then make sure all the oil is out off the engine and maybe tillt it to left side so it all can run out, so you don´t mix to brands

I believe the oil could have possible hurt the clutches, but without being there it's hard to say. If your not comfortable with tthe oil just change it I don't think you have anything to worry about especially if you changed the oil in question often.

I have not heard bad things about motorex, but it depends on the SAE numbers. (10w 50 or 15w 50) you know.
right now i see in the owners manual that it can run on: SAE: 5w 30, 10w 30, 10w 40, 15w 40, 20w 40 or 20w 50.
But I think it depends on where you are riding, you know the tempearature.
I´m from Denmark, and Yamaha said that I scould run on 5w 50 or 10w 50, because theres not so hot here like in Amerika. In the last days i have raced in -2 degrees;)

If you look on page 10-2 in the owners manual you can see wich oil you can run compareded to the temperature you are ridin in. according to that you schould run 15w 40 or 15w 50.

You will not lose power if you are running on a thicker oil.
When oil gets hot it will get thinner, so now i know that you are racing in hot temperature campared to me, so if you are running a thin oil you will lose lubricate effect, but when you run a regular thick oil maybe( 15w 50) you will result in a better lubricate effect because you are racing in hot temperature.

Remember when oil gets hot, it will fill more;)
