Default 2009 yfz450r question

Hey,

New guy here. Just bought an '09 450R and have a couple quick questions.

The quad came 'custom' tuned (dynojet programmer) for GYTR exhaust (loud), No air box and sprockets.

My questions are this:

1) can I run the airbox with minimal effects to the tune? (does the 450R have adaptation?)

2) I use this for trail riding and the GYTR exhaust is very loud. What would You guys recommend that still makes good power but is quiet?

3) What A/F ratio is ideal for these motors on pump fuel on WOT?

Thanks!!!

Are you talking about the airbox lid? If so running with or with out the lid will have an effect on your tune, however it will be minimal.

Our pipe with the quiet kit will make a very good trail system that will be right around 95 db.

Thanks for the quick reply, Jaredp.

Correct, no air box lid. But being there is a fair amount of water where We ride, I'd like to put one back on. Do these quads have adaptation like a modern fuel injected car?

I'll be taking a look at Your exhaust shortly.

If you have a power commander 5 and buy our pipe, I can send you our map that will work for your set up.

Anyone out there running Your pipe w/ silencer package? I'd like to hear a sound clip.
