Default got the new PC5 with Timing (22-044) - Timing Map needed

Today i received my new Powercommander 5 (PN: 22-044)
The Wire-harness got another connector more and they
added a timing map in the software.

but they didnt offer any new maps with timing changes yet.

i thought about transfering MSD timing maps (manually) to PC5
but i dont understand the vertical MSD map steps.

can anybody help or anybody allready got some solid timing data for PC5?

thanx

no1 can help?`
i compared the MSD Map values and saw these are all positive digits like 3 or 5.
i cant belive, that this really means a later timing ?!
usually you go back with the timing until the engine starts to knock, then little back.

basicly the manufactures go little bit later to safe engine.

i think i need to build myself a knock sensor....

I honestly don't know anyone running the new PCV. I've considered getting it to dyno against an MSD & Vortex, but not sure it's worth $350ish just for dyno fun.

Good luck.

I think that I am going to switch over to the new PCV with the auto tune in the spring because I cannot find a dyno close enough to me. Then I will not have to worry about getting it dyno tuned after mods. First I have to get my new cables, brake lines, and handlebars, then save some more cash for the PCV setup.

Kovatch, if you decide on testing I would be very interested in your findings (As I am sure everyone else considering this change would), I have been following up with DJ for the last 4 months on the release of this new product, only to be told each time it is not available yet (Testing/refining) perhaps in an effort to ensure their product is competitive in a market against an already established product DJ have done comparison testing themselves I will ask the question and let you know.

I borrowed an MSD for the dyno, but there have been many posts about the advantages of the MSD over the "basic" PCV. I am hoping a few phone calls will land a Vortex/Tokyo Mods for the dyno as well. I'm looking to have some fun with it, but not get too crazy. To keep spending money for the hell of it, I'm not too sure I want to do that. My $100 bill tree hasn't bloomed yet. 25+ years and it still hasn't bloomed. haha. I would say with the timing/ignition changes it could be as "powerful" as the MSD.

Keep me posted via email if you can. chris_kovatch @ hotmail.com

Many of the people are asking for MSD maps in a thread here "post your MSD maps" or something similar. Not sure how exactly they tuned it. I have not dealt with an MSD yet.

Mate have you tried the DJ website, they have around 14 maps available
I am not sure which have ignition changes in them.
Good luck

Checked them all allready. The maps are the same like for the non-timing PC5.
