Hey, depending on your components(Pipe, Intake etc....) you can expect 10-20% increase in power with the port job. Stock motor YFZ450s with Dasa exhaust, Pro design intake and cam-mod make 46hp on our dyno.

Hey climb-101,

We don't really talk flow numbers there for our reference only.

thx

How does a customer know the hp potential if there are any numbers. I am building a motor and looking to make around 65 hp out of a 98mm stroker motor. Let me know what you have.

The HP numbers are relative to the Dyno. Our 8mil stroker YFZ with a 97mm bore on VP C12 put out just over 60 HP on our Dyno which is known to be 5-7 horse power under others. Our porting with +1 valves.

THX

I know that different dynos read differently, this is why I was looking for flow numbers. That way I can see which head will work better. I am looking more to compare head porting to the one I have already. It is a +1 valved head off off an '07 that flows around 270 @ 28". I am looking to make around 65 hp with it but there is always room for improvement. Also what cams do you guys run

We like many other motor builders like to keep our flow numbers confidential. Sorry I can not disclose that information. We would run a web cam for your type of build.

Same price for YFZR heads? Is this just a basic port like most compnaies would refer to usually as a recreational port? Does it include a valve job?

Hi, the price would be the same. We would port the head according to your needs/wants. The price does not included a valve job.

i dont mean to bash anyone but i cant believe that someone is looking to get work done maybe by some one and wants to know what a typical head will flow and we the customer pay for the service and thats confidential. Thats just crazy?????

I agree. All other guys that I have talked to about porting head will tell flow numbers and give me an idea of what the motor should make. I now that dynos differ on there rating but it will give you a ball park number. This is the reason for the flow numbers, if one head flow 250 @ 28" adn one flows 265 @ 28". i want the the better one.

Flattrack450. your feedback is welcomed. It's just our policy to keep those numbers confidential. We base our builds off of real world performance.
