I know....another throttle housing thread. But my question is a little different.
I want to eliminate the thumb fatigue and researched the 400ex housing conversion quite a bit. Upon doing so, I came across some info about people using a yfz450r housing. Now, I know the reason the 400 ex housing feels better is because of the angle of the lever in relation to the handlebars (easier to reach for smaller hands). So my question is, does the yfz 450r housing hold the lever in a better position like the 400ex housing? If it does, I would rather not put a housing on my bike that has honda printed right on the top of it. Anybody that can help me out, I really appreciate it! |

What needs to be done with the tors sensor when using the ufzr throttle or the Honda throttle?

Cut the wire half way down and basically wire them together to connect them to close the circuit then tape it up with electrical tape and there u go

Check out the Chariot billet throttles on ebay. I got one for my R and its nothing short of amazing. It looks killer and the lever is fully adjustable to fit anyones hands. It comes with two different levers to suit anyones needs.

They do look awesome, and the stock throttle does bother me after riding for a while, but I can't imagine paying that much for one. |

Yep sure did haha. I don't regret it a bit. Its fully adjustable, looks awesome and it makes the throttle easier to push. The stock yfzr throttle sucks and I dam sure wasn't putting honda shit on my bike!

get a TRX90 throttle the levers are longer and easier. Ive used 400ex 450r and all of the above and moose easy pull. Nothing was better than the trx90. Mine did say honda on top but i took a grinder and smoothed the honda off and sanded the cover and polished it for FREE. Get a trx90 throttle for $20 off ebay and if anything else buy a cover for $20.

Back in the day we used a Kawasaki thumb throttle on our trx250r, it was ten times easier to push . My dad has a 2000 kawasaki 300 utility 4x4 that has the same exact throttle on it. Very easy to push and doesnt have a name on it.
