Anybody ever built their own? I decided I was going to today. Made it outta steel, so I dont think it's breaking anytime soon!

now your gonna break your subframe, id put a regular grab bar back on it...

and stop letting it hit when you ride wheelies, use your rear brake...

You don't think the bolts would shear off before that happens?

not every time...

is it worth the risk? if you have that much trouble, instead of making a steal grab bar that is too strong, put a couple wheels on it, and make a wheelie bar, then you dont have to worry.

Have you ever heard of anyone breaking the subframe using a grab bar like this?

ive heard of people breaking subframes from landing funny, and from using the stock grab bars and hitting the rear end too hard.... its not common, but a subframe costs a lot more then a grab bar, just learn how to ride a wheelie, your not supposed to drag the grab bar.

it thats your goal, build some sort of wheelie bar, it will help more in my opinoin. there were a few guys on here that had some neat looking designs, use the search button and look for wheelie bars. never know what might pop up.

fox shocks arent setup for any weight, thats the beauty of them, there are two air chambers, you pump air in each one to effect different things.

fill one chamber up with air to set your ride height, then you fill the other up to increase "bottom resistance".

its takes a little tinkering to figure out where to set the air, but you can make quick adjustements at different tracks to dial them up or down depending on the ride. and it still has clickers on the reservoirs too to adjust.

you get two little hand pumps, it really doesnt take much air to adjust or to pump them up, its pretty neat, head out and find someone with a set and talk to them, they are kick ass shocks.

You will bust your subframe with steel grab bars...remember...it is aluminum. It will either bend your frame or bust where it is mounted. Just start slow wheelies, find the balance point, and get used to using the rear brake!!!!!!! I learned in second and sometimes first gear. Now my best wheelie is over a mile. Just practice.

it is actually easier than u think to break your subframe...when i had my 05 yfz it seemed like it broke very easily...for some reason my 09 seems to be holding up the abuse alot better ;)

I just had a wreck on my warrior and it has a custom super reinforced solid steel tubing grab bar on it and it didnt break the sub frame but it bent it up pretty bad.

Just had a bad crash because of a wheelie and I also had a stronger grab bar on it. In the end the grab bar did break and it also bent my subframe so from now on I stick with normal grab bars and rather replace 10 of them than replacing one subframe again.
just my 2c
