Thumbs up

i know that there are a lot of posts about the zip tie mod, but i wanted to double check on a couple things. Does this mod hurt the quad in any way? I dont know why it would, but wanted to make sure it isnt a huge mistake. also, do you have to rejet for it? i have a hmf slip on and k&n filter and intake. very appreciated

it doesnt hurt anything, and you will not have to rejet, it only solidifies the accelerator pump linkage, giving it a quicker response when you stab the throttle.

it helps a ton in my opinion...i used a piece of wire in mine because ive heard of zip ties breaking and falling off. i ran the wire through the head off the bolt and havent had a problem of any sort.

In the throttlebody side of the carb, you take and zip tie ( i prefer wire) the arm that pivots (the accelerator pump linkage) to the bolt head or the arm that the bolt is on. theres pics around the forum if u need one just look.

hey guys i got it figured out. bike is like fuel injection. did allot more then the zip tye mod lol.

FOR THE YFZ TURN IN THE AC PUMP TIMING SCREW HALF A TURN. THE SCREW IS THAT ONE NEAR THE CLACK ARM. WORKS GREAT!!

reason being is we took the carbs off and whne the ap nozzle sprayed it hity the slide. turning in that screw decreases the timing on the ap squirter and IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU AS MUCH FUEL ON THE BOTTOM AND ELIMINATES THE BOG. AND YOU MAY HAVE TO GO UP 1 SIZE IN JETTING.

GOOOOD LUCK!

does this guy do it correct? looks pretty simple in my opinion. if that's the right way to do it. i tried to find a write up on here but i couldn't find it. you can watch the ac pump linkage in the video fall behind. and once its zip tied it doesn't do that anymore. so it must work! lol

Get the upgraded spring off E-bay, or cut the stock one. Works alot better.
