To hotwire the lights you can wire together the yellow with red striped wire to the solid yellow wire. This is the highbeam circuit and the solid green wire is the lowbeam circuit (which is not needed).
Also if you want the rear brake light to be on while the quad is running you need to wire together the yellow with red striped wire (same wire as the headlight circuit) to the solid blue wire. Doing this will allow the rear light to be on and also allow the brake light to work when the brakes are applied. If you DON'T want the brake light to be on while the quad is running you can eliminate this step but yet the brake light will still come on when the brakes are used because it's a differnt set of wires for this NOT located in the "cluster".

Has anyone tried hooking up the headlights so the highbeams and low beams are on at the same time?
I'm told the system generates enough power for another 70 watts for lights on the A/C circuit and the high beams are only 60w. |

That was an old post on mine and I've since learned that the high beams are both the low and high running together. Whoops...my bad.

I know its an old thread but Im redoing the last owner mess and he did wire the low(green), high (yellow) and brake day light (blue) to the main positive wire (yellow/red stripe) and everything was working and the lightning was really bright. Does the low and high where both on ? I guess so but hasn't tryed to disconnect one wire ...
One day cheking the headlight bulb one has a bubble forming on it and I wasn't able to remove it from the headlight assembly. Maybe last owner toutch the bulb who knows. Slamed some new xenon bulb and never had probleme yet. |
