Anyone shave their seats down for mx and have any pics? Im in the process of takin about 1/2 off mine to sit a little lower for conering and ive heard it helps with running lower bars.
any help is appreciated.

well my seat is the 04-05 seats and i did end up shaving it down about 1" or less. It was kinda stiff (solid) feeling before and now its kinda comfy like the 06+ seats just lower. I dont know how you cut that seat soo smooth because mine looked like ASS and i had to sand the shit out of it hahaha. looks fine now tho just took alotta time.

electric fish fillet knife, then a orbital sander w/ 100grit.
in the pics I posted above the 1st 3 pics are all the same seat. pic1=after sanding, pic2=just cut, pic3 covered with ostrich. the last pic is the seat on my drag bike. I only left 1" or so of foam. |
