Default HID installation

OK well I've read every single tread out there about how to install HID's on a YFZ450. So I went out and purchased some off ebay for around $40 bucks with shipping and they came with a 2 year warranty so thats one reason I purchased them off ebay. There H6M bulbs But anyways, here is how I wired my light up this weekend.
I just figured since the front lights on my 06 bike run off A/C voltage I would have to wire my lights up to the battery and still wanted to use the stock headlight switch. So like anyone would tell you about electrical wiring when your wiring something like lights you would want to use a relay to take the off the switch. So I removed my front plastics to gain access to the stock headlights. I really didn't know what wire was what when I looked at the wiring harness by the front headlights. So I knew that the tail lights come on when the light switch is either in low or high beems and since there LED lights they have to have a constant 12v to be able to work. So i went to the rear of my bike and unplugged the white connector for the rear tail lights. Its by the coolant bottle and started checking for voltage with the test light. I found that the BLUE wire is the wire for the tail lights. So I spiced into that wire right there and used that to power up the relay.
Now I had my switch power and it was all down hill from there. I then ran three wires from the rear of the quad to the front of the quad. I used two red wires and one black wire. One red was the switch power to the relay. The other red wire was my main power wire going to the relay for the HID lights. The Black wire is the main ground wire. I really didn't fill like searching around the bike for a good ground so I just ran on ground wire. Now since I have everything ran I just started plugging stuff in. I installed the HID bulbs into the stock headlights and zip tied the balast to the main wiring harness just because it was easier to get to and not in the way when I put my plastics back on my bike. I have a wiring diagram drawn up but I'm unable to load it to this forum. Just replay to this and pm me your email address.
Also my lights work great have two rides so far out at Little Sahara Oklahoma and haven't had any problems yet. I also installed them on a Honda TRX 700xx the same way and it was pretty much the same thing as my bike wiring wise that its.

I installed mine the same way, along with a high output stator. My stick one wouldn't keep up.

Ya my stock stator has kept up so far really hasn't given me any problems yet. I figure i'll cross that road when mine starts giving me problems.

Well my stock stator finally went out. along with my battery. I guess i'll just have to upgrade to a high output stator. So if you read this I recommend you change your stator or be ready to get towed back into.

So as more of a cost effective measure, do you guys know anything about the baja designs regulator/rectifier mod for your stock stator, instead of buying a high output one for $150?
