On the R/X, no. I beleive you do on older yfz.

04-08 you need to upgrade the stator to a ricky stator

the fuel injected models, you dont need too

i would just run the 35w...theyre bright already! just get 6000k for white with blue tint look

Eagle Eyes HID are what i have on my R, yfz, 400ex & raptor 700!!! Kits are true plug n play and the ballasts are really small!! There 35 watt and will run you right around $130-150 depending where you buy them from. The best quality HID's i've ever run, and i have tried them all. Also if you wanted to get some better prices, look up HID's for Rhino's (Newer years) because the have the exact same wiring harness as the yamaha quads! In fact, that's what i bought (Rhino HID's) and they fit flawlessly on all 4 of my quads!! Hope this helps.

Also your stock stator will be fine!! I have them installed now for 3 years and ride 2-3 times a week, and never once have i had a dead battery or had any issues with the Eagle Eyes HID's. Just wanted to add this to last reply i did.

So does this look correct for the DDM tuning kit for the R? Is there anything else I need? It has 3 different drop down tabs asking about harness, error eleminator and adaptor cables.?
