yea you coud just get a 06+ crank, or a stroker, but its basically necessary to balance it, so if you are not able to balance it, then dont get it.... if your crank seaized up inspect it all for damage before u start ordering stuff, you might change ur combo if you have to replace more...

Get a stock 06+ crank, CP 12.5:1 piston, and have your head ported. With a good exhaust and intake you'll be around 50 horsepower. Plenty for a 16 year old. It willl also be more reliable than a BB or stroker. IMO this will be the best for all around riding.

Do what you want. But everyone on here knows what they are talking about. And the combo i mentioned is gonna be a strong running bike. Like said before 50+ hp is a lot. Ecsepcially for a bike that weighs around 350 pounds.

well hotrods is just over 300 and falicon is 1300... but ok...
why not throw a falicon knife rod on a hotrod crank?

I would save your money on the 471 and do a good Head port, high compression piston, good full exhaust and fci intake. Even with stock cams you would have as much or more power than a stock 471. Much more engine response will come with a head port and exhaust. Good Luck and bottom deal it what you want to spend and just what you want to do with you motor!

i currently run a 471, stockbore and its been going for 2 years now. absolutly love it. crank is unbalanced and its perfectly fine. some vibrations but not enough to even notice. if you do a hr +3 you wont regret it.

i bought the full rossier, k&n, advanced the exhaust cam, +3 stroker, full hinson set up, re jetted, zip tie mod, thats all i can think of prob more....next thing to buy prob a high compression piston(12 and a quarter to 1) or a good revalve job on the old shocks that desperatly need it

I have a Hot Rods crank for my 2005 that makes it the true 450 matched up to a Wiseco 12.5:1 comp. piston and not one problem. Vibrates a little but not bad.
