I won't touch one. I've had some very bad experiences with them even with outerwears. There is much better out there filtration wise. I'd go UNI all the way!

Yes changing a filter can make a difference but a Fuel Customs intake will make a huge difference. And if you are just looking for a filter, go for a UNI or No-Toil.

I believe that they use a K&N but the power gain is from a different routing of the intake boot and I think it comes with a different airbox. I don't know because I don't personally have one but I have seen the gains and they are good kits. It's up to you what you want to run but I'm just saying that I wouldn't run a K&N if I were you. I've had enough bad experiences to not buy them.

FCI has their own filter. It is an 8 ply filter which is twice the plies as a K&N.

k/n works good if its maintained regularly, for added protection you can
put a foam wrap over the k/n.....IMO I like the k/n

K&n let alot of dust through, If you ride where there isnt much fine dust they may be find but I wouldnt try it.

i use the fci filter on my bike and k+n on everything else. most times that a k+n fails is physical damage or incorrect recharge, the filter needs to be cleaned from the inside out very low preasure, dried totally, then oiled, then the oil must dry then use it. i believe the fci is the same. i ride in australia and its pretty dusty here and i never get grit in my intake

I currently use a K&N and am only mildly impressed by it, especially for the price. I think I'll be upgrading to a FCI soon but the cost is quite high ($335) too.

K&N lets a lot of dust in even with the outerwear cover on it. I have had to many bad experiences with them to buy another one. Go with a UNI filter
