Hey guys i was washing my yfz today and got to looking around, anyways the chain has a roller that it sits on near the bottom. Now on the upper part of the chain mine is resting on what looks like part of the swingarm. Where it bolts to the fram... Is this normal or is something wrong? Thanks

there should be no place where the chain contacts the actual aluminum of your swingarm. There are rollers and plastic wear strips to prevent any contact with frame metal or swinger metal. Try TM designworks for replacements. Their powerlip rollers are killer sweet.

there WAS a stock one there but it broke off.
mine did the same thing.

get a TM Designworks one. but i think the new version requires you to drop your swing arm out. i believe it utilizes the swing are mount or bolt.

Ok i been looking around and instead of buying TM's full kit id like to just get the upper part. Now i have found it on a couple of different sites and ebay sells one that relocates the top roller but some say they are for 04-05 only so im wondering if there is a difference.

I went up to the yamaha place yesterday to look and see what i was missing. Looked to me like all it has there was a hard piece of plastic that the chain glides on. I believe i can make my own to go right there...
