damm thanks man, i will do this when i change my oil. oh also so the 8mm bolts on the 04, do those come loose?

EDIT: i just did my oil change today, there was only like a little piece of plastic i think and that was it. i dident remove the 8mm bolt, but be careful not to bend the screen when putting it in, i kinda bent mine but its good, not that bad

just checked the screen for the first time after a year of riding from new and it was 97% clean. no "metal shavings" just a tad of mushy,organic-like material. only takes an extra 2 min to do while your changing the oil. thanks for the heads up

Ive heard of cutting the s/s mesh completely off to allow maximum oil flow. What do you guys think? Looks like it would be a very bad idea.. But dont the oil also get ran through the oil filter itself? What do you think?

might as well just never put a oil filter in either, get 100% oil flow... Jk don't do it NO!!! there is a reason it is in there and by the looks of this thread it is doing its job I wouldn't worry about flow Just worry about it being clean
