The YFZ runs on the all the same oil, it doesn't have a seperate oil tank for the transmission like a Banshee. So you just need to drain the oil reservoir, and drain the engine case........then put about half a quart in your engine case and then you can put the rest of the oil into the reservoir. Make sure you put the right amount of oil in - you don't want to overfill it or underfill it.......and I can't remember off the top of my head what the right amount is......I'm thinking just under two quarts. I just changed mine last night - you'd think I'd remember!! LOL!! :)

Do a search on oil changing. This came up a little while ago and was discussed pretty in-depth. It may be in the maintanance section though. There were directions with the exact amounts of oil needed. Hope this helps.

No...you've been putting in .04 qts too much.

Oh, the horror!

If you have one of those Ratio Right cups it makes things like this hella easier. 1550cc into the oil tank, and 300cc into the crank if putting in a new oil filter, which you should be doing anyways for your 1st oil change.

1550cc and 200cc w/o a filter change.
