Default axle carrier identification

New to the site please be patient.
Is there any way to identify what axle I have on my 2006 Bill Ballance YFZ? Was told it was aftermarket when I bought it. Need to replace the bearings and not sure if all bearings will fit regardless of axle brand? Thanks for any help.

if you post a pic of what you have that would help. there should also be a number on the bearing seal if you pull it out and they can tell from that number what size the bearing is

I've never had an issue with running different axles for the same bike with the same carrier. I would recommend buying OEM bearings when you have your carrier rebuilt.

Nearly all (there is always an exception to the rule) axles will be 100% fine in a stock or aftermarket carrier with stock or aftermarket bearings. As long as you order the correct parts for the correct year, you should not have any issues.

It doesn't matter what axle it is, you buy the bearings per the carrier meaning if it's an aftermarket one you most likely will have to use that companies bearings. All of the axles have the same diameter. So in other words you could run a stock axle in a aftermarket carrier of any brand and vice versa.

As far as figuring out what axle you have when you pull it out there should be a part number in the middle of it. If it's an LSR it will be clearly marked and so on.

Does the stock axle have the spacers for changing widths? I was told the axle was a lonestar. It has lonestar a-arms up front and the back is adjustable.
