to drain the cases its a 12mm screw you take out, located under the shifter and your gona have to take your skid plate off to do it comfortably
the reservoir has a 12mm screw as well once you drain both to fill back up, i usually put about half a QT. in the cases and the rest in the reservoir...the bike only take about 1 1/2 QT

You dont have to take the skid plate off but it would make it easier. If you are carefull you can get a 12mm shallow well socket in there with a long extension.

it will be much easier to do if you take it off and that way no oil will spill on the skid plate and make a dirty mess
12mm wrench for the cases, and you just put something under to catch the oil 12mm socket for the oil tank
