That's the setup that I will be running next season and while I have not personally been able to put the nerfs on my quad yet, I have seen pics of a kicker with Rath nerf bar/heel guard combo. I have the pics saved on my computer somewhere and I can post them if you would like. The person that originally posted the pics said that there was no modification required. It just depends on the kicker that you use.

I believe a 98 YZ250 kicker is the perfect kicker to use because it is shorter than most of the other kickers and clears no problem

Here are the pics. These are not my pics and I can't take credit for them (found them on this forum or another when I had the same question) but you can see that it clears. The lever isnt actually solid mounted yet but can clearly see that it will clear, just need to learn to kick with your heel.

Also, I was just reading yfzracer45's thread about his winter rebuild and he has the Rath nerfs with heel guards on his set up with a kicker.

Check the thread out here. 2012 rebuild

the shorty i have been doing is the shortest possible kicker to use it has cleared everything no problem until this issue with the raths. i dont think its that much of a problem just pain cause your foot will hit rear fender. its shorter than the 98 lever wich clears most as well but it will work with everything. 5 1/2 inches long

I just mounted up the rear healguard to check the clearance of my kicker. I could just slide my finger between the healguard and my kicker. Def not enough room to kick. Im not running them though. The guy I bought the nerfs from sold me the whole deal. My quad originally came from patt brown but there was a owner between me n patt. Whoever did the kicker set up made a new bracket to pull the rear fender out of the way so that u dint have to chop the actual fender. Gives me enough clearance to kick it with my heal. Im actually putting the 09 rear fenders on my 08. Same subvrames so the plastic fits right on. Just gotta do a lil fab work to get it to meet up with the 08 plastic. Got a local upholstery shop fabbing the seat to make it fit to the 08 gas tank better. The 09 fender set up is gonna give me all the room to kick. Gives me like 2 more inchs of clearance

The only nerfs i had NO problems with kick start and heel guards was the DG national series which they do NOT sell anymore. These rath series heel guards are foward more and the fender mounts closer so im trying to work out a solution for this. If your like me i have a motoworks G2 exhaust i cant bend or make any brackets to move it back cause the exhaust will melt the plastics. You can cut 1/2 of the threaded stud off and it will bring the plastic back farther but i cant do that with my pipe touching the plastics
