Yeah the chain may have been too tight. When you get new bearings, press them in, spray them with White Lithium and wait for it to solidify. Don't go light on it either. Pick the seals on the bearings and spray them too. Make sure the chain tensioners are the same length out and there should be 1" of play in the chain with you on the quad. I run QuadBoss bearings and have never had a problem but some people run OEM and won't run anything else. Both are great but OEM tends to be a little pricey. Good luck.

pretty sure the chain wasnt too tight im almost positive the dust seal was damaged when powerwashing and crap got in the bearings... or they may of rusted. but anyways the manufacturer says i now need a new axel housing and a sproket collar... so idk looks im out of commision for awhile. thanks for the advice too!

Can you possibly post some pictures of the damage? The dealer told me I would need a new carrier when my bearings went but I got my machinist to take care of it and cleaned it up and it's fine. And the collar might be salvagable also. If you post up pics I could tell you for sure.

Alright sounds good. They may be charging you for parts that you don't even need. They make money that way. Darn stealerships.....lol

One thing to make sure of once you do get it fixed is never spray directly at the sides of the carrier with a pressure washer. All you are doing when doing that is trying to force water past the dust seals. Another thing I always is force pack some high quality water proof grease like BelRay into the bearings before installation. I personally am not a big fan of lithium grese but that's just me.

Any updates? What would cost $1000 to replace? My carrier bearing went bad on my old raptor, metal shavings all over the place. Someone I was riding with had a spare carrier, popped it in and everything was fine.
