I have a 08 450 SE. and im 5'10 185. and someone told me to adjust my stock shocks, since i wieght more than the stock suspension is set up for. is this true? How in the mess would i do this. Im new to the sport and dont know much about suspension. I mostly ride trails and small mx tracks. thank you for any advise you can give

From what I have heard the stock suspension is "set" for 180 pounds. In reality that is just talking about preload on the springs nothing else, but you should still check and adjust if necessary. Go read the suspension theory at the top of this forum it will explain the three main settings preload, compression, and rebound.
