Default lsr carrier

hey guys i just got a lsr carrier and was wondering what side goes on what end? do the notches in the carrier stick out sprocket side or disc side? thanks really anxious to get this on

The carrier should be grooved for an big ole c clip that will hold your brake stay on. That side goes towards the your brake. The holes to adjust the chain should be next to the chain. Make sense?
