Default Tire advice

To make the story short i've been out of the riding scene for a while sold off my hipers and went to just stock wheels and tires finally got a chance to ride last weekend and to say the least the stock dunlops sucked..

I was wanting to know what everybody is running now for rear tires i am mostly just riding a dirt track with a mix of woods so i need a tire with grip but not to much for a predictable slide while on the track it is hard packed clay..

thank in advance for the suggestions ..

You can't go wrong with Razr 20/11/9 rears and Razr 2 21/7/10 fronts have ran this setup for years and loved it. Just swapped to the Maxxis XC this time for a try at something new.

I like them to say the least. Think next time I will go with Razr 2 up front possibly to see if that makes a difference

I will never run Holeshit's ooops meant holeshots... Just personal preference. I got a couple buddies who swear by the Gncc's Itp makes but haven't heard any really good reviews about the xcr

I ran a set of the xcr's on my last banshee. They were ok, but I doubt I'd ever buy another set. I do however have a set of the GNCC 6plys on my R and so far they are the best tire I've ever ran. I ride trials and race hard pack. So far, they have been excellent, but I honestly cant say how good, as I've only ran them for a very short period. If they wear good and have a decent life span, then they will for sure be the only tire I run from here on out!

My friend has the razr2's front and rears and he hates them there to hard of a tire for him. But m. Last quad I bought the Xcrs for it and they were real small it seemed. But now I have holeshot HDs and love them very soft and aggressive tire.

My wife has tried both the maxxis r2 and the itp gncc she likes the itp better. The open tread on the rear give it more traction for climbing slick hills and tread pattern cleans very good for mud and goop. She runs them in gncc and have not had any problems with them at all.

GBC Race Rex rears, GBC X Rex fronts. Very good combo, and alot cheaper than Maxxis or ITP
