My new jetting specs after latest mods...
Hotcams
ESR intake
TC Exhuast
SRP CDI

50p
190m
5th clip NCVQ
1.5 turns on the fuel screw but still fine tuning.

I may even be able to go higher on the main but I don't have any higher main jets to test this theory.

My '05 yellow/black YFZ is running with the GYT-R Titanium pipe and header (I know, the header is a waste, but I love the purple color it turns :) ). I also have the GYT-R intake/ filter.

Mainly ride Glamis...

GYT-R K&N with lid off
Location: GLamis

175 main
4th clip NCVQ needle
48 pilot

I have tried the 5th clip/175, 4th clip/178 and 4th clip/180 also.

Planning on sticking in a 50 pilot as a test next.

Never hurts to test even when you think your jetted perfect.

hey, i'm new to this website, but was wondering if anyone could me out there!! I am going crazy trying to get my quad jetted right.
first here's what's happening, it revs slowly fine, but you when try to punch it falls on its face and cuts out. also on the deacceleration it pops and shoots a flame out sometimes. i've tried several different jetting combos with the jetkit i received with my sparks full pipe, which includes a 170,172, 175, 178 main jets; a 45 pilot, and the NCQV needle. curtis sparks reccomends a 175 main, the 45 pilot and the needle at the 4th clip, but that doesn't seem to work to well.
I have a curtis sparks header and slip-on, k&n with no airbox lid. those are only mods i have done. I live in kansas, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been working on this about 2 weeks now and can not get it to run smoothly. PLEASE HELP ME, I'M GOING CRAZY WITH THIS!

Southern Cali... Desert and Glamis!

HMF Full System with Quiet Core
K&N Filter with Outerwears
Stock airbox - No lid

180 main jet - and still backfiring
48 pilot jet

Still backfiring and running hot. Think I am still lean... 180 is a big jet but the backfiring tells me it is lean. Also, runs fine with the choke out! Going bigger...
