I am thinking about testing some other pipes again, but this time on a 2007 yfz 449cc with only the lid off w/ K&N and cam mod. I am thinking about some pipes that aren't drag type pipes that aren't obnoxiously loud too.

I will have the new Venom pipe, Yoshi, possibly a HMF and only a few others. I think I can get a new Ti LeoVince pipe to test. I'd like to test with some other pipes.... maybe CT, Akropavic (?) or what ever some of you want to see tested. Lets complie a "short" list of some pipes we would like to see tested, but I do not want Nmotion/ Sparks/ etc.

Basically I'd like to test pipes that are quiet (er) on a more typical build yfz.

Thoughts??

Pipes for sure..

Maybe stock (?)

LeoVince
Yoshi
Venom

Others...??

2 Brothers
LDR pro4
Big Gun Evo X
Jardine RT5................. if some one out there has it.
HMF (possibly if the one my friend has is all together)
Dr.D

DASA if some one wants to send it, but rather test it against Nmotion, and such.

Ok... I will be updating this list of members willing to send in pipes and after we get a decent list going we canvote of pipes to test..... If I have listed any one incorrectly please let me know.

Post #73 has some video sound clips

plaugher4.... Trinity pipe

Oregon450Duner.... Jardine RT5

buttmusk.... Big Gun

Husker525... Yoshi

Husker525.... Dr.D (hopefully able to borrow)

TerseJr.... Venom

TerseJr.... Stock OEM (maybe)

TerseJr.... HMF sport (maybe I'll ask to borrow it)

sylvan56473.... LeoVince Ti pipe

Clod Hopper.... AC Flow pipe

ugotbit.... New style GYTR

Just throwing it out there Tersejr, but what about Big Gun. It's what I'm running right now and I know it's not at the top of the must have list, but I've always been curious.

Big Gun would be cool. I have always thought them to be decent and not obnoxiously loud. Would you be willing to send it to me for testing?

Dasa... I'd rather test it with a Nmotion, big core Sparks, Jardine etc. as I highly doubt it will fall in the db range of the other pipes... but if some one wants to buy it and send it to me I'd test it.

Id like to see the Two Brothers pipe in this. Im not sure if it would make a large difference, but what about a Sparks regular core and Big Core. I know the big core was done in the last dyno runs, but it was a shorty. Will that make a difference though?

I'd like to see an LRD Pro 4R. I have their motor but haven't run their pipe yet. I have some friends who have and they seem to love them but I haven't actually seen a dyno on one...Except for what they have on the showroom floor. I really like the idea of this test because I am in the market for a quieter exhaust that I can use on the track or woods. NO WAY will my Nmotion pass anywhere here in Oregon.

2 Brothers may be a good cannidate.

Reg core Sparks is out... to loud with out alot of stuffers.... my friend has a reg core sparks un cut, and it isn't going to pass any where close to a quiet pipe.

LRD4.... Might be a good pipe to test, as they have been around forever and supposedly make decent pipes, but like you said... aside from their testing I haven't seen a dyno of one.

I will up date the first post with pipe choices.

Yeah I'll send it to you. Just let me know when you want it. I'll probably do regular ground to save on the shipping though. Also I'll break it down to 3 pieces for easy packing unless you want me to leave the mid pipe attached to the core. Let me know.

No Nmotion... already dyno'd and a very hard pipe to beat.

Bobby, Yes redrockets quad if that's ok with you... don't worry any about the dyno cost, I'll cover all that.

Dr. D would be cool to test, as it always does good.

Motoworks would be a good choice too.

I'll let you know in advance when I would need the pipe, and you can mail it however the cheapest works best for you, and I'll mail it back to you. Just include in the box your full name + Screen Name, return address, and telephone number.

For all the pipes... leave out any type of spark arrester as I will have to remove them anyway to run the air fuel meter probe, and I don't want to loose them.

This test may not happen till June FYI. I am just gathering opinions and options right now.

You should add one of the top loud pipes in there from your last test to just have something to compare the new pipes too.

Ok, I will work on getting his quad ready to go, and borrowing a Drd pipe. I don't mind pitching in for the dyno time, but if we get like 10 pipes and jet them all, we gonna be there a long time and I'm gonna have to take up flooring as a 4th job....

HaHa your too funny! :) No worries on getting it ready before the test, just don't break it before hand, I don't want to have to fix that one too

All it will need is freah oil and a clean filter for the test, and my dyno tires.
