Due to the difficult time I had diagnosing an electrical problem on my machine, I spent a tremendous amount of time reviewing the electrical schematic in the manual. However, it uses abbreviations to describe wire colors/patterns, which made the job tedious. I edited the diagram to display the actual colors for the wires. I will post this here in hopes that it may help someone else in the future!

great work, that could save some people alot of time. I saved the image so i can reference it in the future if needed. Electrical work is always horrible... Im sure we all have experienced the malfunction of trailer lights, its amazing how so few wires can cause such a hassle.

Maybe we otta put our heads together and come up with a good troubleshooting guide on the electrical aspects of the YFZ. I'm not familiar with your story but mine was plagued with electrical gremlins from day one and I feel I know everything about the electrical system but I can always learn something new.

Nice wiring diagram...easy to follow. Thanks for taking the time to do it in color.

yes please repost put it up on image shack you dont even need to sign up but it wont stay for too long

do any of you experienced electrical guys have any idea why my plug only shoots out a spark or two right when i stop pushing the start button? plug is good and i jumped it with my truck and it made no difference, it will run great once its running.

link is broken "page can not be found" message. 06 yfz 450 with no spark. stator ohms out in spec. no physical damage in stator area. tried coil & cdi. need to see wirirng diagram.

I had that problem and it was the little ground wire that came undone drone back where the ground hooks up to your battery. That little wire there was unhooked on mine and it causes huge fits.
