Default timing chain

How do you know its time to replace the timing chain? Im the process of getting 08crank to make a true 450 and some other work. Should i do it since i already have the motor apart?

MMAD Head work,
12.5-1 piston,

they dont cost that much and i would replace the guides also.that way you know how much time is on them.and like you said you already have it apart.
