race gas people come on in

I made this post to see who all run race gas in their bikes and if they did it over again would they change it.

1. What kind of race gas you use
2. What type of riding do you do
3. How long does a tank last
4. Do you wish you wouldnt have chose run a race gas piston.

trails/drag/mostly sand
subjective to each rider and type of riding..but i havent seen much of a difference
nope..high compression piston is the way to go IMO

Last just like normal, bout 1-4 hrs depending on throttle, and only way to go! But don't bother with the 13:1s, go 14.5+

04 YFZ. WR crank, MMAD 14.25 piston, CW 98mm, KW ss Valves, KW spring, Velocity head, YZF cams, GYTR Kickstart, Dyna FS, Nology coil, Rossier exhaust, Tusk clutch, FCI intake, Boyesen quickshot R&D fuel screw .
Elka triple rate front & back, Houser +2 arms, +1 swinger & +2 stem, G-force axle, Streamline lines, wave rotors, AC nerfs, IMS pegs, douglas beadlocks, MXR6 tires, Pro taper bars, ASV levers, Gibson stablizer, MP twist.

Vp u4.4 and sunoco 260 same as NASCAR (100) octane
strictly motocross
a full race day, practice, and 2 motos between a quarter and half a tank
yea for motocross I would but I have to mix 93 and 100 in my trail bike and I would leave it runnin on pump if I could
redo

04 yfz complete motocross build with everything but the kitchen sink

So i guess my friend was overreacting when he said his tank only lasted 30min riding through trails on his stock bore yfz with race gas piston lol

As little gas as my 400 and 480 quads use compared to my RZR800 I am more than happy running it, its only $1.00 more per gallon than super unleaded where I live.

vp110 and pump gas 93 octane mix. a guy that i bought this vp from he is a sales rep and makes commission off of selling vp says to run ethanol with the 110 because it is an oxygenator. and stated to me that he did some dyno runs on a 250f and it made more power on the mix than just the straight race gas. seemed kinda wierd to me but truly believed it because he makes money on the stuff and wasnt trying to sell me more fuel

Drag race only

just drag racing a full tank will last about 4 hours, depending how much i race.

Wouldnt change my piston choice at all. Love the High compression and power

So It seems everybody is loving the race gas choice instead of pump gas so far some people i ride with avoid it because they dont want to burn a hole in their pockets but I dont think it will be that bad money wise being gas prices are rising anyway

VP 110, sonoco 112... just depends on what's available locally. stictly duning. I currently run a custom 14:1 piston from mmad. I don't plan on switching to anything else compression wise as the power is awesome.

As you probably know, only run race fuel as necessary based off of your compression and elevation. It is a waste of money on a stock comp motor.

Yes at the moment I have a big bore kit installed in my bike and a venom 14:25:1 piston, ported head and hotcam stage 1 cam.

Just bought avgas 100LL for $4.50 per gallon, VP racing fuel $12.00 a gallon. For my elevation 4,700' I think 100 octane is proper for my 14.25 Venom, got 36 hours on my build with zero problems using strictly avgas.
