Well, if you have ever been to Little Sahara, sand mountain, in Utah, not Oklahoma, there is the mountain, the not as steep but longer side is called the valley, but to the right of the valley is a hill, with a bowl in the middle, then another hill to the top, I use to shoot that a lot on my quad. So I was racing up the hill, I've had a bad feeling in my gut the whole day. And when I was coming down I got into the bowl, went slowly over the blind spot to the second half of the hill to get down, and there was a 5 seater sand rail, the thing was giant, going about 40MPH sideways on the hill (Rails usually use that hill to shoot up sideways and fly up the valley). Luckly he turned enough to slam the front of me. I just closed my eyes, let go, and jumped as high as I could off my quad, I jumped sort of backwards away from it, ended up rolling back down into the bowl, my quad rolled, I rolled about 14 to 15 times down this hill (What it felt like) and opened my eyes when I stopped, I saw the guy from the rail running towards me as fast as he could, his rail was still moving when he got out of it, and I tried to stand up but once I got on my feet and took a step I just fell down from how dizzy I was and from the shock and adrenaline. My headlights disappeared, my battery was disconnected, my frame was warped, my handle bars were completely bent, (My throttle never felt the same after.) my plastics were a wreck, and my bumper was bent.
Moral of this long story is don't get hit by Sand rails, and I am so lucky that I only ended up with a few bruises, and a headache. I can post pictures of my quad after the wreck too if anyone is interested.

Dang dude I'm sorry to hear that! Good thing you weren't injured though! Quads are fixable and replaceable but most of the time people aren't fixable in those situations! Could have been a lot worse! Post pics of the quad up

Well, what the guy said was "Are you okay? I didn't even see you! Do you need to get the cops involved? I can follow you back to your camp to tell your dad what happened". Along the lines of that, we went and dropped his rail off at his camp, he hopped on his 450, and rode with us and told my dad the story, my helmet is all jacked up the visor is cracked, missing pieces of my helmet, ect. He was really nice, wasn't drunk (Most people are out there it was Memorial weekend).
Funny thing is I crashed when I use to BMX and stopped instantly, but I got hit by a sand rail and wanted to continue riding after that, it's how much I love it. Here are the pics too. Ask me more questions if you want. ![]() ![]() ![]()

It's alright, it was all rebuilt, I got a sick looking blue frame for it, and it was all fixed except plastics, but I don't have it anymore, I haven't had a YFZ since around 09, It was an 07 and we got it brand new, hopefully i'm getting a new one for a graduation / 18th birthday gift.

Man that sucks, glad ur ok, the rails fly up the valley and don't watch out for us bikes. Ride there a lot and have seen a rail and atv meet head on going over to the back side. Think life life came on that one.
