I'll be running the whole series. What class are you running?

If the turnout this year isnt very good, it's going to be the last year. :(

Vet +30...I'm 35 so I figured it's a good spot for my beat up body. Haven't raced quads since I switched from dirt bikes 10 years ago. I did desert racing for about 4 years, and now I'm getting the itch to race something. Our 8 year old will be racing also, and maybe our 13 year old.

That sucks that it might be the last year. We went to a race at Glen Helen when it was the ITP Quadcross almost 2 years ago and it seemed like there was a good turnout. I'm sure the economy isn't helping though...

sweet! Another vet. I'm running vet B. Will be nice having one more person at the gate. We had a pretty good turnout last year for our classes, ran two gates almost all year. And some damn fast guys.
The dwindling turnout is a shame. Hopefully it improves this year. I'm not sure if its the economy to blame solely though. The turnouts at worcs races are insane. QuadX has the same potential, but some work has to be put into the series. They're somewhat lackadaisical about it now. It is what it is, but I'm going to make the most of it and have fun racing.

That's cool. We will have to try and pit together. Where do you usually ride on the weekends?

It's going to suck if they can't keep it together....

I used to ride a track down here in Bakersfield until it recently closed. Now, I just ride Porterville on Sundays until their quad track is finished and the time changes. Occasionally, I'll make a trek down to Glen Helen.
When the time changes I ride Honolulu Hills after work.

Porterville has a race coming up the 12th. So far, it looks like theres going to be a great turnout for the quads. You should check it out. I'd be there, but thats the same weekend as worcs.

Honolulu Hills has a series coming up as well. Amazing track and some awesome racing. I'll post the schedule up.

Is there a number you can call to check and see if the quad track is finished?

How are the WORCS races? I've thought about doing 1 to try it out.

Google Porterville Ohv and it will bring up its website. I can't recall what the URL is off the top of my head.

I've only done one worcs race, and that was at glen Helen a couple weeks back. Due to the sloppy conditions and reduced race times it wasn't a true indicator of how it is though. Despite that, it was a blast. Combines the perfect mixture of off-road and mx. You should definitely come race one of the somewhat local ones this season. Its phenomenal training for quadx.

its not really sanctioned by any major group. Its just a local track race. Well, I guess technically it would he sanctioned by the city of porterville since its their track.

Well hopefully we will get to go to Porterville this weekend. Waiting on some parts to show up...

I've tried looking for it, but is there a system for your numbers in the QuadX series like ar worcs? As in colors for # and background? Or do you just pick a number and make sure they're 3" and contrast to the background?

just pick a number and run. No number color requirements other than them being visible on the back.
There's going to be a good turnout of quads at the porterville race, will definitely be a fun race. I'd be there if it weren't for worcs.
