Default Starting our Winter Rebuild

I think some of you are familiar with the quad already, but here is some current pictures for those who aren't.

This build will be pretty straightforward and simple. The main goal is to freshen everything up with new bearings, powdercoat, and some new parts.

For powdercoat we are planning on a flat black frame, subframe, upper a-arms, and other small items. The swingarm, lower a-arms, hubs and a few other parts will be a translucent blue.

The engine: 13.5:1 WR pistion and Walsh head work

For new parts: Lonestar axle, Axis rear shock with Walsh linkage, Walsh subframe, JSR exhaust, DWT Champion in a box.

The start:

Thank you sir! Also should mention that new custom graphics are being designed.

And may be looking to get some Rath monster peg nerfs if I can find a good deal on some.

Not really much of an update, but the frame is stripped and at the welders getting spot checked, then off to powdercoat. Motor parts are ordered and shocks are boxed up to be sent to Axis to get rebuilt.

Got all of the motor parts in except for the head. We are going to use Moto Xperts for the head work. Here is a picture of the CP piston for the WR crank, it's a 13.5:1.

And the new nerfs also came in. We are going with the new style Blingstar. They look alot beefier than the AC nerfs and I think the heel guard setup on the Blingstars will provide more room for the rider.

I will get some more pictures of the nerfs once I get the nets put in them.

Yeah they are alot beefier and have alot more coverage area than the AC nerfs. The only complaint I have so far is the lower nets seem thin. I'm not sure how long they will last.

No picture updates yet but the frame is STILL getting stripped! Apparently they have sandblasted twice and used aircraft stripper 4 times, so it should be close. Then its off to the welder to get spot checked for any cracks. Then going to the powder coaters. On a high note I should have the head back on Monday which is under 5 days shipping to and shipping back! That's awesome! So hopefully the motor will be done by next Friday. The guys at MotoXperts said it should be a VERY stout motor. Which is excellent news considering we were pulling holeshots on full Baldwin motors last year with a pretty much stock motor. Also forgive me if I'm rambling as I have been drinking some tonight. Anyway I look forward to this years season and to making a lot more friends in the sport. Goodnight!
