they didnt change anything from 09-10, except adding the X to the line up, they already anounced the bikes man, they didnt change anything, why do you keep insisting that they are gonna release some new model? they even released the special edition models...

In 2010 they changed the radiator shrouds to black, did they change something else around that area that we're not aware of?!

because there working on one, around dec jan, dont be surprised if you dont see a real machine that takes the 450 world up one more notch.its easy to release to models in one year, they have to put something out make money off it then put the new one out, then ppl are gonna sell the old version cheap and buy those, end result more ppl on the efi version.

no shit their working on new stuff... IF they are redesigning the machine, they are at least going to wait till 2012 to release any new changes because they ALREADY RELEASED THE 2011 BIKES, i dont know why its so hard for you to grasp this concept. they will be working on getting the back wards leaning bike engine fitted into the 450R frame soon enough, well... thats IF the engine proves to be a good design and they keep it around, but that will be YEARS down the road, probably not in 2012, or even 2013... so again, why dont you talk about what you heard, maybe we can have an intelligent conversation reguarding it, otherwise, the phrase "shit of get off the pot" comes to mind. |

Wait wait wait......so you're telling me that there is going to be a 2011 1/2? Are you retarded? When have you EVER seen a 1/2 year model dirt bike OR quad? Quit pretending to be this "all knowing insider" and step the **** up. NOBODY likes a person that sits back and says "hold off, don't buy that, something is coming that will (quote) 'take the 450 world up one more notch' (end quote)". Grow up Peter Pan. This shit is getting old.

The KFX450f was technically a 1/2 year. They released the "08" in mid 07. |

True, but that won't make it a true 2007 1/2. Porsche released a 1985 1/2 944 mid year 85 and there was a laundry list of changes from replacing interior pieces all the way to revising the mounting of the transaxle. Little minor changes are one thing, but a complete redesign in which there is an obvious difference between the two would clearly constitute a half year. Seeing as how the KFX450R was originally introduced as an 07, the fact that Kawasaki introduced the 08 in mid 07 could be nothing more than a marketing tactic. Now, kneedrager, I'm not saying you're wrong. I just can't see Yamaha introducing that radically of a different bike mid year when the current design is just now entering it's 3rd year. However, I do halfway expect a change for 2012 but it won't be in December or January like 08yfz is saying. The possible backlash of introducing a half year in this economy is too high. I'm not a marketing or economics professor, but I would fully expect a change in 2012 IF it's going to happen. Mainly, because with a first year change, (first year meaning first design year i.e. 2009-2011) a manufacturer is not going to rush a new design out the door 3 or 4 months after intoducing this years bike.

why in the hell would yamaha release a new model in a few months, they just announced their 2011 line up... if they release a new model, it will crush any sales they will ever get out of the 09-11 yfzR and yfzX, why would they want to do that, usually when you see a 1/2 year release, its when the company basically sells out of the older machine. like the 65 mustang had a 65 1/2 model too, with minor changes, because they were origanally going to be 66 mustangs, but the 65 sold out of production too fast....
