yes ibought a 08 yfz 450 and it coughed , stalled or die,a lot when i first bought it i was told when i added pipes and filter and jeted and would stop doing that but when i added pipes it got better but if i try to hit gas fast it still coughs or dies if i ease in to it then nail it its fine i was told this normal from the dealer is that right has any one else had this problem this is my first yfz. thanx for the help.

Searh for the BOG FIX. I believe it is sticky'd in the powertrain section. It is some what normal. Proper jetting usually makes it a very small bog. I don't notice any bog. I have an 07 and what really helped it was the adjustable needle which they stopped putting in. I know for sure they are not in 07 or 08.

Adjustable needles on 04-06, but just buy an NCVQ needle from the dirt bike and save yourself hassles in the long run. Turn up you idle a bit too, that will help minimize the bog. I have had 3 YFZ's, and with jetting changes, needle changes and turning up the idle, I have gotten rid of the bog.
