What kind of riding do you do...you don't see many FMF pipes at the drag strip, and you don't see many DASA shorty's on the MX track

FMF 4.1 with megabomb vs DASA shorty

If your planning on doing mods...even a slip on ,your going to need a vortex programmer before anything. If you have the money you can get a package deal on a vortex , pipe and intake... If I was buying a all around good exhaust... I would get a Yoshimura. You see a lot of the local MX and hares scrambles guys using FMF, silver lake dunes you'll see the DASA pipes. On a mostly stock motor you won't feel much seat of the pants difference... Get whatever you like the looks of. If you only have six or seven hundred to spend, get the vortex and take off your airbox lid and remove spark arrestor from the stock silencer

Loudest pipe I've heard is a Curtis sparks.... Absolutely deafening you could just get anything and take all the packing out. Lol

If you put a pipe on it, the motor will run a bit lean. If you take the airbox lid off too, itll be even leaner. If you run a bike lean too long, suddenly there will be a blown motor sitting beneath you. The vortex can run with a stock pipe no problem. An aftermarket exhaust cant run with a stock ecu (for long atleast).

No... If your really looking for most bang for the $ ... Vortex, air box lid off, un cork exhaust.... 08 yz450 intake cam . This will really bring this engine to life for around $750. If you take the airbox lid off without a programmer it will pop and lag with a quick stab of the throttle, and at wide open throttle it could seize up... Unfortunately with a 2014 and up your kind of limited to a vortex, unless you switch to a older ECU and a piggyback.. But just get the vortex, or leave it stock

I would just get a slip on exhaust until you really start modding , you can always add that later, $100 on the intake cam will give you way way more noticeable power than a header pipe will, I'm assuming you don't have unlimited money, so Vortex and any slip on, even used is fine

Well if you just want the look and the sound, just get a slip on silencer and leave your airbox lid on, you might be ok without the vortex, my 2012 runs good without a programmer as long as I leave the lid on the airbox, so now if your looking for a loud good looking pipe ... Get the DASA shorty slip on, or if you like the look better ... The mega bomb

No... Not sure , if you can swing it I strongly recommend getting a vortex, but like I said my 12 runs great like that, 17 could be leaner ecu settings... I think you'll be OK , if you get popping and flat spots hitting the throttle, you'll have to get the Vortex
