New 2017 YFZ450R Special Edition

So I just bought a 2017 Special Edition 2 days ago. Can't find much aftermarket parts listed for them. I'm looking for exhaust and nerf bars. Will 2016 model items fit a 2017??? Just getting back into the off road stuff, been riding streetbikes and out of the dirt game for 10 years so sorry if it seems like an easy answer. I can't find anything definitive online. Everything I find says it fits 09-16.

09-17 are pretty much the same. Buy an exhaust for a 14+ and a Vortex ecu......

Congratulations! It is expected to take a while to confirm if previous years would also fit to new machines. Share what you figured out.

Trust me the 14-17 bikes are identical besides the ecu part # that changed in 15 due to a revised fuel map to reduce bog. Even the 09-13's are almost identical except different shocks, plastic, slipper clutch, ais and ecu, and different crank.

The 17 plastic can even be used on an 09.

2014-2017 is pretty much the same as Kilroy said. Here is the list of things you'll want and the best places for price:
1-Vortex ECU (racingpowersports)
2-Houser Pro-bounce nerfs (racingpowersports)
3-Yoshimura exhaust (KBmotorsports)
4-FCI intake (racingpowersports)
5- 2008 yz450f intake cam (ebay)

Your first mod should be the vortex, all the others can come later.
kilroy and ferrarijody like this.
