Intermitant spark?

Ok so a couple weeks ago my yfz wouldnt turn over or anything. I found that it was the tether switch replaced it and it turns over now but i dont think it is sparking right. When you first hit the start button it sparks alot then just sparks not very often and randomly and when you let off the start button it sparks again. I read a thread on another forum that said to disconnect the two wires from the stator and test each one while turning it over and see if it produces power. I unhooked the black one and tested it and it had no power and if i unconnect the white one it wont turn over or anything so i dont know how to test that one.. Has anyone had a problem like this or have any ideas? thanks

Tor mod is not done i dont know how to do it.i did check the tor switches though and it says for both the carb and throttle switches there should be continuity when they arent being pressed i belive and when the throttle button is pressed it does have continuity but when the carb switch is pressed in it looses continuity. does this mean the carb one is bad

it to late for me to think about the side one. hit me up tommaro night.
but the handle bar one is the one i did when i put the honda throttle on.
but you take the two wires that come from the throttle and cut then close to the cdi and splice them together or you can do it like i did and do it at the plug.

ok so today and yesterday i have been going through the manual and testing every single thing on the list for the no spark and intermitting spark problems and everything is in good shape which leaves the last thing to be the cdi. i can order a new one for $80 on monday and will put it in next weekend

put the new cdi in today and it has good spark now but it wont start now it just turns over and over and every 2 or three times it turnes over it backfires out of the air intake. i just put an axis rear shock on and it pushes on the rubber hose of my esr intake so i put a 1 inch longer hose on and it pushes a little still but i dont think its enough that it would matter
