Default Question on the 12(carb) YFZ

I just purchased a new yfz, the carb version was just wondering if i made a bad decision because i plan on setting it up for gncc, even though i prefer carb, did i make a big mistake?

i dont think so, with a new suspension setup and full exhaust, head work, you should be good to go.

If you arent a good A class rider you will probably never notice the steel valves, from what everyone has been saying the new carb works pretty good and im sure you could probably switch it over to a fcr if your worried about it. So that just leaves suspension if you are racing im sure you sre already looking at new shock, if not and the stock ones feel pretty good then just ride it. Your quad does not have to look like a factory pro quad to be competitve you can go out there and kick ass on a bone stock 400ex if your a good rider.

Nope, it's a great platform for xc. I just got done running mine on an xc type course, and I love it. Just get some good aftermarket shocks, tires and exhaust and you'll be ready.
