Default 2004 yfz480 need help

hi guys

Im looking to trade my 2002 ds650 baja that has some aftermarket parts on it and has nothing don to the motor but has custom made beed lock rims for a 2004 yfz480 with aftermarket parts aswell

it has a 480 athena big bore kit on it and the guy isn't sure if it has a hot rod crank in it or not

he bought it 2 years ago and has only put in a new clutch , he say its tip top, so my questions are
is a 480 reliable ?
if it doesnt have a rot rod crank then what should i do? is the stock one just fine?
since he bought it 2 years ago and doesnt know when the big bore was done then should i put piston and rings when i get it or just ring or would i be good for another year?
also how ofter should some with a big bore do a piston and rings?

sorry for all the questions just dont want to get something that will cost alot of money
what do u guys think

thanks alot for any help

the stock crank is fine i have heard the hot rod cranks dont last anyways. i have a friend that just put a hotrod cranck in and lasted one race and siezed up. Just check compression as far as rings but if i was going to change the rings i would just go ahead and put new piston and rings in it as long as there are no scaring on cylinder walls.

Stock crank is more reliable than a hot rods crank because the hot rods ones are off balanced
