Default KEY ON or OFF

Hello Forum People,

I have a quick question about my yfz switch. in my last post i lost my keys to the yfz and needed some way to get it started without keys.... i followed some advice now i can put whatever i want into there and twist it. then i relized anyone could just steal it.... so i mounted it under the frame.... now its a pain in the ass to get to

but my real question is other then the explanation is... can i keep the key on the "ON" position without the battery being affected? i dont have any head light or tail lights hooked up that could possibly draw any power,

so just let me know what you think below!

Thanks - matt

leaving ignition on will kill the battery. ruined a battery on my brand new x the first week i got it, never had to worry about it on my old blaster! imo if you were worried about people stealing it and you hid it and were/are worried about people stealing it why would you hide it and leave it on? if you were doing that u wasted your time hiding it! right?

you could put the key switch back into the factoryu postion and then wire a toggle switch hidin somewhere on it that will kill the power

Just buy a new switch for about 48.00 dollars or I have a extra with one key for 30.00 plus shipping.
