Default Backfire

So for the past month or so my quad has developed a nice backfire. It seems to do at about half throttle or on decel. It never did this before and I haven't changed anything since summer. Do you think it could be the cold weather? My mapping was a bit on the rich side. I don't know much about mapping or jetting but backfire means it is running to rich correct? Unburnt fuel gets through the combustion chamber? I plan on getting on the dyno before race season starts for a custom tune.

re-jet maybe? but then again if it didnt do that before then probly not. u a have spark arester in? if not put it in an it should lean it out enough to silence that pop i would think. Or check the timing, if the timing is off a little it will pop. or even a burnt valve making it seat improperly. idk anything else past that ha, good luck.
