Default my 05 yfz se build

so this was the first yfz ive ever owned, when i was searching for parts i came across this site and ever since than i have not left the site and cant seem to stop buying parts or doing little nic nacs and mods to it. i originally got the yfz for $500 bucks needing carrier bearings, it had tires and gytr pipe on it and ive added a lot to it. here are some pictures as my build has been progressing over the past 2 months.

here is when i first bought it

starting to take it apart

my right lower a arm was bent so instead of buying stockers i came across these pretty cheap and bought them, but they needed new ball joints and shocks rebuilt and needed new tie rod ends as they were actual honda tie rods

i than bought all new frap ball joints, streamline +2 brake lines, streamline brake line clamps from houser. and i found this esr intake ring and some cheap filter with a outerwear on ebay for $47 shipped, (i diot have the money for a fci at the moment) i am going to order a normal k&n from my sponsor soon, i wanted to run ricky stator tie rod ends as i read the tusks were junk, so i contacted him and ordered some, well he called me the next day and said he only had 2 lefts and 1 right, i told him i would take them and try to track down another right, he called me 3 days later and said he found one in his "misc parts drawer" in the back room, i was excited as i didnt have to go searching the whole internet.

here is the right side installed, i just blasted the arms and shot them with gloss yellow car paint in a gun and gloss black lowers. this winter they are getting pc'd

front end somewhat mocked up

all installed, shocks were just on for mock up

than i started researching and decided to do a 07 swinger set up so i bought all this

and i needed a axle to match the front width so i picked up this really nice/used g force +2 +4

than i picked up a pep zps big bottle rear for it so i had a decent suspension all around to match the elka stage 4's up front

i than bought some alba black nerfs so i could get rid of my stock heelguard/moose set up. i also did the cam mod, zip tie mod with wire, and a blow by reroute for the black box in the back

and now im at this stage, i took the 07 swinger, brake stay, and dwt beadlock rims to pc and am awaiting to send the shocks out to be rebuilt, i also added +2 motion pro cables on it as i went to a shorty clutch lever and needed a longer cable, this way im ready for a steering stem also

got my rims, swingarm, and brake stay back from pc today, still waiting on motor mounts, lower rear fender brackets, rear caliper slider, and the coolant pipe on the right side.

the yellow is satety tiger yellow, its real close to a gloss yellow, it looked different on the sample card but hey for $30 bucks to do all of my pieces i cant complain, this winter i will be pulling the a arms off to have them matched.

Haha I do need it. But I'm done buying stuff for a while. I need to get some other stuff for it so I can get it back together like carrier bearings and swinger bearings and than my shocks rebuilt first. Than I'll get more goodies.

i will get a quad tech but not at this time, once my collar bone is healed and im back at work ill be ordering tons of goodies!! and just from riding it around the first day i got it i noticed the seat sucked lol. i hope all the yellow i did will look good and wont be overkill. i had a dumbass moment today when i was installing my tires on my beadlocks....i put the tire on the rim as you would a normal tire than put the beadlock ring on and aired it up and i was looking at it like WTF???? than i was like duh so i popped the one side off and got it together the right way. i do owe everyone on this site a big thanks, the search button is my favorite feature. lol

got bored tonight so i decided to shorten up my gytr slip on, i wanted it to be flush with the plastics, i chopped off 3 inches and it worked out perfectly. i had to cut the inside core 3 1/4 inches as it slides into the end cap. i had to move the gytr aluminum plate also, also got a pic of my rims and tires amd my little helper

thanks everyone! im hoping i have it done within the next 2 months. have grass drag races coming up so the yfz is kind of on a stand still. bought a new motor for the sled so my yfz funds are limited. my biggest expense is getting my shocks done which i keep putting off! i cant wait to take it on its first trip.
