I feel the need to clarify the difference between the old YFZ450 and our current pipe for both the YFZ450 and the YFZ450R. This pipe was developed for the YFZ450R. It has a 5 stage (steps) system as compared to the 3 stage old YFZ450 pipe. The muffler is different with a larger core, and has a mega cone tip.
![]() The old pipe was featured in the pipe shoot out here. Pipe Shootouts Condensed ![]() This system makes 1.5 HP more that the old 04-08 YFZ450 exhaust and will fit the old YFZ450. The dyno sheet is with a RE pipe, no air box lid, free air kit, and PC5. This is a big core 14" can just like the can from our raptor pipe. ![]() ![]() We offer a few additions for this system The first is a spark arrestor to make the system trail friendly. ROSSIER Engineering - RE Spark Arrestor Please note if you have a old or new pipe when ordering. ![]() A quiet kit will knock the noise down to a bearable 94 Db. ROSSIER Engineering - RE Quiet Kit It comes with twelve discs, a custom RE end cap along with all the necessary hardware. We recommend adding the supplied rivets to help carry the load of the quiet kit on the can.

You sau it has a mega cone tip, does that refer to the shape of the cone or the actual inside cone shape?
Got any pictures of the header with the steps? What is the inner core diameter? 2.25", 2.5" ? Sounds like a great pipe. I'd love to see it in a pipe test with other pipes. What is the db with out the quite core disc's? 102-ish? |

Im not a webmaster by any means. I think all you have to do is save the zip file best to save it to your desktop then unzip the file. Then open it in the software. I am unable to post the MSD file on our website , It should go up there the next time our website guy comes to the shop.Great! Last edited by jaredp; 02-02-2012 at 09:50 AM. |

Hello, I bought a 2012 YFZ carb model. Will the pipes work on mine that are for the pre efi YFZ? Can I expect similar results? I know Yamaha changed the cam grind and ignition timing, I'm curious to whether this would lead to a different effect from purchasing an exhaust meant for the older quads.

Just to clarify, we only offer one pipe for the YFZ450. This is an updated pipe and makes 1 1/2 HP more than the previous pipe. Our exhaust system will fit any YFZ. |

I have not found a jet kit for the 2012 YFZ with the 42 mm BSR carb yet. There was a thread about the new carb, but I was looking for some more info with results. Rossier doesnt have any jetting recomendations for the new carb. I guess I'll wait and see. I have never done jetting before so I'm just being a little cautious, and nervous I guess.
