Thats really cool man. One thing i would love to see though, is a YZ450F silencer fabbed up to fit, that would be rad.

Instead of having to cut the splines yourself why not just get a blank sprocket then space it out and weld a standard one with the splines cut out to it. I believe this is how mine was made.[/b]
because mu design wouldnt alter the shaft persay, it would still allow you to change sprockets on the fly, which is what im looking for.

The best I can say is let me get mine back and make sure everything works like of should and then I will ask him if he would do another one and how much he would charge, sound fair? Although if he is too busy I will send you all the plans I have so you just have to copy them down an take them to a shop and be like here do this :)

Hi, Ive been following this thread and just wanted to know if the same swap would pertain to the yz426 motor? Or is it completely differnt from both 450 motors?

I have an 04 yfz450 which grenaded the motor also. I can buy a yz426 complete bike for 800. would this swap be the same as far as the mounts?

I meant are the mounts on the yz 450f the same as the yz 426? I know you have to change the yfz450 mounts.

i couldnt tell you 100% but i think they are. either way he swapped the 426 and i swapped the 450 and we both had to alter the same points on the frame, i dont know if we had to alter them the same amount or not though

Look at the oil line going to your head on your 08 and try to find the same oil line on an 07-08 yz450.

what oil line??..if the cylinders are the same the head will work.. so u just have to bend the front motor mounts and add spacers on them
