yeah, its a legit factory red 07 frame. and ive been thinking about head work but i just dont know if i will be able to swing the extra cash for it. im already pretty set on all the parts that i want. but who knows, i might be able to do something.

If it can't be fixed with a hammer or duct tape, then you've got an electrical problem.

I have also decided to use the ARS FX XC a-arms for it as well instead of the Housers

Best decision you could have made. I love the front end on both my bikes an wouldn't trade them for anything. What shocks you going to run I am sold on EXIT 2 shocks from here on out they are amazing/

Real glad to hear that my friend. After reading about them this morning (deployed overseas), I feel that they are better and more stout control arms over the Houser Slicasts. For shocks I will be going through Motowoz Suspension via my sponsorship with them.

Once again another slight build change. I just purchased all brand new Factory Yamaha OEM stuff for the motor (top end/bottom end). After reading so many mixed reviews on the Cylinder works jug and Hotrods crank, I was just like F it, I'll just buy the OEM stuff. I got a good deal though so I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Glad to hear you went with all OEM parts you will not regret it in the long run that's for sure. Hands down they just out last most of the aftermarket stuff in my opinion

Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to the build...just a few more months!

Just a little FYI, since we moved into the new house, I will be doing this in my dining room since I don't have a garage anymore!!! I have the best wife in the world. lol. Two YFZ's being put together in one dining room! The dining room also is the "garage" for my GSX-R as well.

As for Houser or ARS-FX, I personally prefer Houser on my Honda or KTM,but.......... I do have a sweet ass ARS-FX frontend on my Yammi, and I don't think I would swap it for a Houser considering the way the ARS-FX handles.

Default Update

Just another status update.

I got a really good deal on some Lonestar Racing XC arms. They are the +.5 / +.75 arms. I was wanting the ARS FX arms, but I got these arms brand new/still in box for $200 so I couldn't pass the deal up. I also didn't get an OEM crank. I purchased the Hot Rod crank from KB Motorsports. A few other things that are ordered is my Rekluse Z start pro clutch w/ new friction plates and clucth cover, sprocket guard, and a wr start button.

Ok, so I can post pics of everything if everybody wants right now, however, all it would be is photos of new aftermarket parts, and some used stock parts. I'll probably wait to post pics of everything until I get home and start on the build.

Default Pics of some parts

OK, so my wife already has put most of the stuff in the basement until I get home and doesn't want to have to go down to the basement to drag everything upstairs just for some pics. However, I will post some pics of the parts that I have already purchased and was lucky enough to have her take pics and send to me. lol.

Other things that I have bought so far but was not able to get a picture of include:

Complete OEM Top end kit w/ OEM cylinder
Hotrods Crank (thanks KB Motorsports) w/ new bearings
Complete Cometic engine gasket kit

They aren't anything special but my wife sent me pics of the clutch, cover, and friction plates. Everything is still in the box, but I guess it's better than nothing.

Looks like you have a complete bike in a box! haha. Building a new bike with all new parts is always fun. When will you get back to start your project?
