Default YFZR Black Maier Plastics

Just bought a set of black Maier plastics for my R. Ended up only paying $389 shipped from RMATV for the full front/rear fenders aswell as the gas tank piece, hard to beat at that price. I will post up some pictures when I get them in especially of the mounting tabs and such. I know I was really curious how these were before I bought them and theres really no info on the forums about them.

Ya I wish someone had close up shots of them and the tabs before I bought them but I figured I'd try them out. My OEM ones right now are trashed and cracked all over so I had to buy something, figured I'd do something different. I heard they are thicker/stronger than OEM and the tabs are different but in a good/stronger way.

awesome. I also just ordered a set of those dzus d-ring quick detatch fasteners, so once i pick up a set of plastic, it'll be a painless switch over.

I saw maier had a sale on red plastics. i sent them an email around dec 25-26 asking for shipping quote to canada and never got a response. Now it looks like the red ones are sold out. Going to try calling them on monday and see what they've got left. if not, i'll have to go with white i think, cuz my factory blue set is thrashed too.

$12 for the air scoops and side shrouds that a dam good deal. Those are $200+ alone good snag Sr. Let us know if those stock air scoops bolt up with the Maier finder set. That would be some good info.

I'm excited to see them as well. I've been heavily debating on a set of the carbon fiber ones.

dam $200 for the side panels and scoops where are you buying this stuff from? The scoops are only $12 a piece I never said anything about buying the side panels. Those are about $17 a piece but mine are fine. The Maier scoops aren't worth it when the OEM are so dirt cheap.

Yeah I was talking Maier there really about $220. I'll be curious to see if them oem side shrouds work with the Maier finder set. Keep us posted.

Would have cost me about $150 extra to throw in the side panels and scoops but chose not to. Confident the OEM ones will fit, but ill know for sure on Wednesday when they show up if I get a chance to throw them on.

Does anyone know if the Maier plastics have any extra holes in them? All the pics I've seen online show 2 holes on the front fender......my "R" doesn't have anything there?

Thanks for the info. I'm real finicky about how my "R" looks so I'll wait for some reviews. $389 for Maier or $650 for OEM. Should be any easy decision but I'm weird. For the price of OEM I can get Maier and precision bar clamps.....
