So I just got done buying all new oem white plastics and oem graphics for my R. It looks great and new again. However now I'm needing to pc my frame and some knick knack shit. Heres my question. I REALLY like the 2011 SE black and red bike
. I'm debating on having my frame powdered gloss black to accomodate the 2011 SE look. My front arms, swinger and subframe are already gloss black and I have black hipers as well. Do you guys think I should pull the trigger and go with the new 2011 SE look? I kinda hate to spend the money on new oem plastics again because they weren't cheap, however they would be considered a sunk cost at this point! Do you guys want a picture of my bike first to help me decide?

Pictures would help but its a tough call either way. I love blacked out bikes when done right, however i own an 09 white and red R and love it to. My vote is stick with what you have (white plastics). Go black frame and a bad ass graphics kit.

I ran a gloss black frame for two years. It looks amazing until the water dries or it gets scratched/chipped (which show very easily on black).. A-arms aren't as much a pain. I would consider another color. Although, I do spend about 10 minutes with the air hose drying the quad, so if you adapted that, the water spots may not effect the look. I like my bike looking spotless.
I think the new SE looks bad @$$. If you find a local guy to buy your plastics, then go for that look.

Haven't made a decision yet! I just spent another $1500 bucks in bolt on shit and haven't even got to the motor work yet. I will let this poll ride out till the spring and see what the results are. I will keep posting updated pics of my current red/white setup and see what everyone thinks by march!

What about keeping the frame red and just go with the black plastic?

The red rings dont look good on this color of red. I've seen a few guys on here do it and i'm just not a fan. As of now, I'm thinking that I will go with a candy red frame as well as top arms. Then some here and there stuff to accent it. So far I'm leaning towards the red/white!

Just think.... 09 is the only red frame on the r's. Kinda unique. Ive thought about going with black plastics with red frame or change the black inserts to white. Its a toss up. Maybe try the rings white like ive seen on another post.

I appreciate all the tips and opinions! A new seat cover is on my hit list for sure. I have to make up my mind as to which colors I decide on before I order one though. Ideally I'd like to put on a black/red/white quad tech seat cover. However the quad tech website don't show an image of each color combo. I'm also kicking around the idea of billet hubs. All of them, brake, sprocket, rear wheels as well as front. I've looked around and Lonestar is the only company that I can find that offers those, but I still havent found a front set of billet hubs. I'm just not sure if they would hold up to abuse as well as the oem hubs. Does anyone have any experience runing the complete hub combo? Also, where can I see all the colors available for my hipers? thanks!!!
