Gytr nerfs are wide, more of a mx deal. U should look around or ask some members who run gncc if that would be a problem. I know there's a few that run the x model yfz. U could always buy those bling stars that r on my bike in my sig..

I bought the gytr full nerfs and the are supposed to get here today. I'll try to get them installed sfter I get home from school today and let you know how they fit. I have a 2012 R model but I am narrowing it for xc racing by flipping the rear wheels and using 4+1 front wheels. I'll try to get a pic uploaded on here when I get a chance.
Here's a picture I googled. Its a x model. They don't seem to stick out past the tires.

I put them together and installed the nets but have not mounted them to the quad yet. My quads torn down right now and is sitting on a motorcycle jack. I couldn't install the nerfs because the jack sticks out on the sides. I don't know if I'll have time today but I will deffinitely have time tomorrow to install them. It's pretty much just the engine, frame and wiring on it right now so it was for me to try and get it off the jack and onto something else in the the little bit of time I had yesterday, but it will be done tomorrow for sure.

I bought mine from yamahaonestopshop on ebay. They were a little more than $365. It was $382 with free shipping. I ordered them the day I bought my quad on June 2nd and they got here on the 12th. When I bought mine they only had 4 left and now they only have one left if. The only thing was that about a foot of the nerf bar was sticking out of the box it came in and there was a huge hole on the side of the yamaha gytr box. Nothing was scratched or damaged suprisingly. They look great and I stood on them while they were put together and on the ground and they feel great. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get them mounted.

Tires and wheels are being shipped so I threw the stock ones back on for a picture. I like how they are angled inward towards the front. Once I narrow the front and back if I get the front through I can bang the rear through if it happens to be tight.
![]() ![]() ![]() I usually have to raise the shift lever but since the peg drops lower than stock I will not have to. I like to ride standing up and be able to up-shift straight from my standing position instead of having to change my standing position slightly to lower the front of my boot if that makes sense? They feel great standing on the quad. It's hard to tell how much of a difference is just in the pegs though because I added a houser +1 stem, and precision shock & vibe clamps today as well. (Along with a precision stabilizer, and quick release fasteners.) ![]() Between the drop pegs, +1 stem, and the clamps adding more height it feels much better than the hunched over feel from just standing on it. Once I get my rear shock back I'll let you know how the pegs feel actually riding it. |

Sorry I read this on my phone this morning but forgot to measure when I got home. It's about 48.5" But once I get my new tires and wheels I am flipping the wheels when I mount them to narrowthe rear.
After installing the houser anti vibe stem and precision clamps there seems to be play in the bars. If I more the handlebars a hair I can see the tires budge a little but when I move the handle bars back and forth like only a hairs width back and forth it feels different than if I go do that to my moms 400ex. It almost seems like the rubber pieces in the houser stem are causing it. Is this normal? It's hardly noticable just instead of feeling like a solid mount from the handlebars to stem like on the 400 it feels like the handlebars are connected to rubber mounts (which they are). |
